Launchcast on Yahoo: Hear the songs I've shown here!!

Trapped in your mind, the swirling thoughts of dreams and woes surround your every aspiration and whim.
It consumes your attention, and plagues your thoughts, leaving you stranded... alone.
Only the subtle glow from the radio and it's lucid tones, hold you on the edge of reality.
It is here we laugh and cry, relate and hate all at the drop of a solitary note.
Someone seems to relate to us and hears our pleas.

Save us all...
We are trapped with music in our minds.

Trapped with Music in my Mind...

Sunday, May 02, 2004

This is one of those songs that the radio plays every hour, on the hour. It seeps into your brain and drenches it with sulky, sassy female pop singers who try desperately to be a bad girl when they were sticky sweet for most of their early years... It's just their publicists and managers want to make them more desireable so they want them to look raunchy. Then, one day after hating this song on the radio, day after day, hour after hour... you see the damn video. Ok, the video is cool. Not top of the line graphics or anything but the hair and makeup dept.'s get kudos as does wardrobe! Now I like the damn song!!?!?!! I am not a Britney fan or anything either. Actually, I am against most Britney songs because she was singing stuff that just sounded either too pop or when she went "sultry & sincere," she sounded too damned stupid. The first song that comes to mind when I think of this is I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman. *plans to hurl* I'm sorry I can't see her sing that song and think that it was a reflection of her life in general. Yeah, not really a fan of her works. (Ok, maybe Oops! I did it again too because of the Titanic reference and the fact it's a touch on the retro side in the video, but not much of anything else of hers impresses me) Now, if I was a guy... there would be a whole other physical angle to go with here that I could enlighten everyone on, but this is purely a music thing, ya know what I mean?!? ;)
