Trapped in your mind, the swirling thoughts of dreams and woes surround your every aspiration and whim.
It consumes your attention, and plagues your thoughts, leaving you stranded... alone.
Only the subtle glow from the radio and it's lucid tones, hold you on the edge of reality.
It is here we laugh and cry, relate and hate all at the drop of a solitary note.
Someone seems to relate to us and hears our pleas.

Save us all...
We are trapped with music in our minds.

Trapped with Music in my Mind...

Sunday, May 23, 2004

The world is stupid sometimes. We always want things to work out for us and for things to be perfect. That includes meeting possibly new romantic interests for the first time. Things never go according to plan, whether it be planned out, or you're wingin' it. Something always gets botched.

That's what happened with Greg and I. He ended up getting sick on our first date... Ahh... love... I must say, he had to be a good catch if I still liked him after getting sick at the restaurant. I had never known him before that day. Everything was sort of unplanned. And as it got late, we got hungry and then, he got ill. It's one of those stories that I won't forget and I'll giggle about it with my kids down the road.

You know, John Mayer is superb in getting right into the lives of everyday people with his music. It's so nice to see something refreshing like that. And the song is something that will always remind me of the first night I met Greg.

I love you honey.
