I love Evanescence! I was on my way home switching between stations and I heard the DJ annoucing this song by Seether called "Broken" so I stuck around to listen to it, as the other channel I was listening to was playing some god awful rap song. I listened and quickly realized that the female accompanying the band was Amy Lee of Evanescence. God I love that song. I've had the song posted on my main page since last Sunday (June 20th) and every time I read the lyrics I can actually hear all the notes and voices singing. It is definitely one of those songs trapped in my mind. I actually didn't know that Amy Lee and Shaun Morgan had been dating about a year when they decided to do this, but you can feel that they were together when you listen to the song. One of the best collaborations I have ever heard.

I have been listening to LaunchCast through Yahoo lately and I have been introduced to a few new bands and musicians. One of which is Start Trouble. Some have labeled them a cookie cutter alternative band: the lyrics reflective of a band trying to be rebelious when they look too cute and clean (like N'SYNC). I have to disagree. I like their songs and there are others I would post but I will think about it first. Some of them hit too close to home and relate too closely to people I know. The last thing I want is my music choices getting me in trouble. I don't normally censor my music, but occasionally it does need to be done. Start Trouble is a great group though, and I do suggest them to people if you are looking for that Alternative rock sound with a more shocking twist.

Pure and simple: Tantric is a great band. The lyrics are truthful and straight to the point. And the sound goes right to your core. It's a great song. If you haven't heard it yet, listen to it. (ack, it's been a long day and I need to post this before I head to bed)

Ahhh.... Massive Attack. God I love this song. I had once heard it in a l33t cartoon of Romeo + Juliet. They used it as the credit music and I had to find the song somewhere. I finally have it!!! *cheers* I had to post it because of how it stuck in my head so badly. It needed to be posted :) God I love the way a song can sneak in and take over your brain when you least expect it! Hee hee.
