ACK! Ok, I know, I know... It's ANOTHER John Mayer song... But I LOVE HIS MUSIC!!! How can you read these lyrics and not see good poetry within the lines?

Just cast away and I am lost at sea
Another lonely day and no one here but me
More loneliness than any man could bear
Rescue me before I fall into despair

See what I mean? I know it's a sad and depressed line set. But if you listen further, you can see he's not letting himself stay depressed and angry at the loneliness without doing anything about it. He sends a message out to the world asking for help with being alone. And he sees in the end, that he's really not alone in the world, there are many just like him and can relate. I love hope in songs.
