Launchcast on Yahoo: Hear the songs I've shown here!!

Trapped in your mind, the swirling thoughts of dreams and woes surround your every aspiration and whim.
It consumes your attention, and plagues your thoughts, leaving you stranded... alone.
Only the subtle glow from the radio and it's lucid tones, hold you on the edge of reality.
It is here we laugh and cry, relate and hate all at the drop of a solitary note.
Someone seems to relate to us and hears our pleas.

Save us all...
We are trapped with music in our minds.

Into The West
by Annie Lennox

Lay down,
your sweet and weary head.
Night is falling.
You have come to journey's end.

Sleep now, and dream
of the ones who came before.
They are calling,
from across a distant shore.
Why do you weep?
What are these tears upon your face?
Soon you will see.
All of your fears will pass away.
Safe in my arms,
you're only sleeping.

What can you see,
on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,
a pale moon rises.
The ships have come,
to carry you home.

And all will turn,
to silver glass.
A light on the water.
All souls pass.

Hope fades,
Into the world of night.
Through shadows falling,
Out of memory and time.

Don't say,
We have come now to the end.
White shores are calling.
You and I will meet again.
And you'll be here in my arms,
Just sleeping.

What can you see,
on the horizon?
Why do the white gulls call?
Across the sea,
a pale moon rises.
The ships have come,
to carry you home.

And all will turn,
to silver glass.
A light on the water.
Grey ships pass
Into the west.

I had this itch to watch Lord Of The Rings Trilogy, but of course I don't have them and my brother lent them to one of his little buddies. So, because of the fact I wanted to watch it, I posted the song Annie Lenox won an Oscar for Best Song from LOTR last year. Into the West is only at the end of the movie, but it's a great song and it definitely fits the feel of the movie. You should hear it at least once. Next time you watch LOTR: Return of the King, let the credits start so you can listen to the song. It'll be worth it.

Wanted
by Vanessa Carlton

I have wandered far and wide
for something real something to die for
but I have found you and you do not see
all that is me all that is true

I am more than you will see,
I am more than you will need,
I am more than you will see,
more than wanted

As you float the flimsy surface
you should know life lies beneath it
don't pretend you feel what I feel for you
live illusion and I am real

I am more than you will see,
I am more than you will need,
I am more than you will see,
more than wanted

I know, I know you like the way you feel when I play
I know, I know you don't really hear what I say
I know, I know you are waiting for something to raid
I know, I know you wish you could be more than you say

I have wandered far and wide
for something real something to die for
but I have found you and you do not see
all that is me all that is true and

I am more than you will see,
I am more than you will need,
I am more than you will see,
more than wanted

More than you'll love, more than you'll hate,
more than you'll hold, more than wanted
more than you'll crave, more than you'll cherish,
more than you'll have, more than wanted

Vanessa Carlton has unique style that is unlike other pop stars. I enjoy this song. It reminds me that you can know someone and never really know them. It's good to remember that you can never really understand the person you are closest to in their entirety. You may be able to understand concepts, but you never really KNOW what they are going through. It's what makes us unique and complex all rolled into one. It's ironic she has a song about not being able to be completely understood, when songs are supposed to be a way to understand what the artist is going through.

Until the Day I Die
by Story of the Year

Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you, for you
Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you

As years go by
I race the clock with you
But if you died right now
You know that I'd die to
I'd die too

You remind me of the times
When I knew who I was (When I knew who I was)
But still the second hand will catch us
Like it always does.

Well make the same mistakes
I'll Take the fall for you
I hope you need this now
cuz I know I still do.

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you

Should I bite my tongue
Until blood soaks my shirt?
We'll never fall apart
so Tell me why this hurts so much

My hands are at your throat
And I think I hate you
But still we'll say, "remember when"
Just like we always do, just like we always do

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you
Yeah I'd spill my heart!!!!!!
Yeah I'd spill my heart, for you!!!!!!!

My hands are at your throat
And I think I hate you
We made the same mistakes
mistakes like friends do,
my hands are at your throat
and I think I hate you
we made the same mistakes.

Until the day I die
I'll spill my heart for you, for you

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you, for you
Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
I'll spill my heart for you

Until the day I die (Until the day I die)
Until the day I die!!!!!!

This is another one of those songs that I have been introduced to on LaunchCastPLUS. This is a great song. Sometimes you fight over stupid shit with the one you love want to live with forever. It's the fighting that drives you to think the worst of the relationship. But if you can survive that instant... you can survive anything. I love this song because of that.

How Soon Is Now?
by The Smiths

I am the son
and the heir
of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and heir
of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

I am the son
and the heir
of a shyness that is criminally vulgar
I am the son and the heir
of nothing in particular

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

There's a club if you'd like to go
you could meet somebody who really loves you
so you go, and you stand on your own
and you leave on your own
and you go home, and you cry
and you want to die

When you say it's gonna happen "now"
well, when exactly do you mean?
see I've already waited too long
and all my hope is gone

You shut your mouth
how can you say
I go about things the wrong way
I am human and I need to be loved
just like everybody else does

Ok, I have been in the mood to sit down with movies from the mid 90's and watch them again. This song came from one of my favorites from the mid 90's: The Craft. I've had the soundtrack for years and when we moved to our first house, I stumbled across it. I did some digging on LaunchCastPLUS and I added it to my list of songs I am addicted to. It's a great song from the movie... even if the movie is a little on the campy side.

She's the Blade
by Sugarcult

Don't you make a move tonight
You can only stagger
Once shes got you in her sight
You're the one shes after

Shes the blade and you're just paper
You're afraid cause shes got closer
You're back-steppin and she's back-stabbing everything in your life

She stole everything your heart desired
Now you want it back
She stole everything your heart desired
Now you want it back

One by one you count the fights
Doesn't even matter
That shes got you by surprise
Misery's your master

Shes the blade and you're just paper
You're afraid cause shes got closer
Your back-steppin and shes out wrecking everything in your life

She stole everything your heart desired
Now you want it back
She stole everything your heart desired
Now you want it back

She stole everything
She controlled everything
She stole everything
She controlled everything

Shes the blade
Shes the blade
Shes the blade and you're the paper
Shes the blade and you're just...

Shes the blade and you're just paper
You're afraid cause shes got you closer

She stole everything your heart desired
Now you want it back
She stole everything your heart desired
Now you want it back

She stole everything
She controlled everything
She stole everything
And controlled everything.

Sugarcult is yet another group that LaunchCastPLUS has introduced me to. The music is catchy for Alternative Rock. The song, once you hear it, you feel compelled to sing the refrain over and over. It's scary to think it's so Pop addictive.... :) Despite the song's pop feel, you realize after singing the refrain over and over, that the girl in the song has the lead singer over a damn barrel! *laughs* I shouldn't like a song like this but I can't help but be caught singing the refrain to myself just about everywhere lately.
