Launchcast on Yahoo: Hear the songs I've shown here!!

Trapped in your mind, the swirling thoughts of dreams and woes surround your every aspiration and whim.
It consumes your attention, and plagues your thoughts, leaving you stranded... alone.
Only the subtle glow from the radio and it's lucid tones, hold you on the edge of reality.
It is here we laugh and cry, relate and hate all at the drop of a solitary note.
Someone seems to relate to us and hears our pleas.

Save us all...
We are trapped with music in our minds.

Sugar, We're Goin Down
by Fall Out Boy

Am I more than you bargained for yet
I've been dying to tell you anything you want to hear
Cause that's just who I am this week
Lie in the grass, next to the mausoleum
I'm just a notch in your bedpost
But you're just a line in a song
(A notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song)

Drop a heart, break a name
We're always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded gun, complex cock it and pull it
We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded gun complex, cock it and pull it

Is this more than you bargained for yet
Oh don't mind me I'm watching you two from the closet
Wishing to be the friction in your jeans
Isn't it messed up how I'm just dying to be him
I'm just a notch in your bedpost
But you're just a line in a song
(Notch in your bedpost, but you're just a line in a song)

Drop a heart, break a name
We're always sleeping in, and sleeping for the wrong team

We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded Gun complex, cock it and pull it
We're going down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded Gun complex, cock it and pull it

Down, down in an earlier round
And Sugar, we're going down swinging
I'll be your number one with a bullet
A loaded gun complex, cock it and pull it

We're going down, down in an earlier round (Take aim at myself)
And Sugar, we're going down swinging (Take back what you said)
I'll be your number one with a bullet (Take aim at myself)
A loaded gun complex, cock it and pull it

We're going down, down (down, down)
Down, down (down, down)
We're going down, down (down, down)
A loaded gun complex, cock it and pull it

We're going down, down in an earlier round (Take aim at myself)
And Sugar, we're going down swinging (Take back what you said)
I'll be your number one with a bullet (Take aim at myself)
A loaded gun complex, cock it and pull it

Ok, other than the fact that the chorus of the song is catchy, there is no significant reason why I posted this song. Can't I be shallow for a week and post a song simply because I like the chorus? So the song is dirty... so the song is wrought with a desire to have someone as shallow as the person they sing about. Sometimes it's good to be shallow... once in a while. ;)

Working Nine To Five
by Dolly Parton

tumble out of bed and stumble to the kitchen
pour myself a cup of ambition
yawning stretching trying to come to life
jump in the shower the blood starts pumping
out on the streets the traffic starts jumping
folks like me on the job from nine to five

working nine to five
what a way to make a living
barely getting by
it's all taking and no giving
they just use your mind
then they never give you credit
it's enough to drive you crazy
and you love it

they let your dream just to watch them shatter
you're just a step on the bossman's ladder
but you got dreams he'll never take away
in the same boat with a lot of your friends
waiting for the day your ship will come in
the tide's gonna turn and it's all gonna roll you away

working nine to five
what a way to make a living
barely getting by
it's all taking and no giving
they just use your mind
then they never give you credit
it's enough to drive you crazy
and you love it

you spend the rest of your life putting money in his pocket

Nine to five
what a way to make a living...

Nine to five
they've got you where they want you...

Sometimes you have to listen to something cliche... Well this is my cliche song of the month. I lost my job do to downsizing and while I would have chosen "Take This Job and Shove It", this song just felt right. I'm getting screwed for doing what I should be... Ah... I hate unemployement and having to suck up to a fast food joint for a full time job.

You're Still You
by Josh Groban

Through the darkness
I can see your light
And you will always shine
And I can feel your heart in mine
Your face I've memorized
I idolize just you

I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
I've loved you for so long
And after all is said and done
You're still you
After all
You're still you

You walk past me
I can feel your pain
Time changes everything
One truth always stays the same
You're still you
After all
You're still you

I look up to
Everything you are
In my eyes you do no wrong
And I believe in you
Although you never asked me to
I will remember you
And what life put you through

And in this cruel and lonely world
I found one love
You're still you
After all
You're still you

Sometimes you have a person who means more to you than they can possibly realize. Even if you can't show it in the normal ways and even if you can't show it in the ways they try to show you, the sentiment and the desire is still there to show just how much they care for you. I think this song shows how much I want to show certain persons that I still care even if you don't want me to be an active member in your life. I still wish for your wellbeing and I still want you to be the most successful as who you are. Old hardships and hates are a part of life but through it all I never lost faith in you... I never lost my love for you as a friend. If I had, I never would have gone through any effort to try to help.

You walk past me
I can feel your pain
Time changes everything
One truth always stays the same
You're still you
After all
You're still you

This Is How A Heart Breaks
by Rob Thomas

Don't you wanna go for a ride
Just keep your hands inside
And make the most out of life
Now don't you take it for granted

Life is like a mean machine
It made a mess outta me
It left me caught between
Like an angry dream I was stranded

And I'm steady but I'm starting to shake
And I don't know how much more I can take

This is it now
Everybody get down
This is all I can take
This is how a heart breaks
You take a hit now you feel it break down
Make you stay wide awake
This is how a heart breaks

Don't you wanna go for a ride
Down to the other side
Feels so good you could cry
Now won't you do what I told you
I remember when you used to be shy
Yeah, once we were so fine
You and I why you gotta make it so hard on me

And I'm sorry but it's not a mistake
And I'm running but you're getting away

You're not the best thing that I knew
Never was never cared too much
For all this hanging around
It's just the same thing all the time
Never get what I want
Never get too close to the end of the line
You're just the same thing that I knew back before the time
When I was only for you

I love Matchbox 20 and Rob Thomas is an awesome voice on his own as well as a lead singer. I actually heard this song when flipping though channels and came across VH1. I saw him running away from someone in the video and I was compelled to watch the rest of the video. This is one of those people where dropping out of highschool and hitchhiking around the southeastern states actually propelled him into the limelight he has now. Sometimes fate has a funny way of taking you to the top.
