Launchcast on Yahoo: Hear the songs I've shown here!!

Trapped in your mind, the swirling thoughts of dreams and woes surround your every aspiration and whim.
It consumes your attention, and plagues your thoughts, leaving you stranded... alone.
Only the subtle glow from the radio and it's lucid tones, hold you on the edge of reality.
It is here we laugh and cry, relate and hate all at the drop of a solitary note.
Someone seems to relate to us and hears our pleas.

Save us all...
We are trapped with music in our minds.

Halloween
by Aqua

Hello?
Remember me?
Who's there?
I've got your number
Oh no, no
I'm back to haunt you
No, stay away
Ha ha ha ha ha

It's Friday night
So creepy outside
It's is thundering and lightning
There's nobody home
Cause I'm all alone
It's scary and it's frightening

The sound of shoes
A shadow that moves
Something odd is tic tac ticking
Someone's in here
I'm so full of fear
The telephone is ringing

Now I can see you
Oh no, please no
Now I can touch you
Oh god, please go
I am right here now
Oh please, tell me where
Ha ha ha ha
I'm in a nightmare
You better run
I'm back to haunt you down

Halloween, in the death of the night, hear me scream
I'm coming, I'm coming
Halloween, is the fear that I fight, in my dream
Keep running, keep running

Just keep running - oh, keep on running, yeah
Just keep running
Just keep running - oh, keep on running, yeah
Just keep running

Hell broke out
On this Friday night
Zombies passing deadly
My Candyman, from Bountyland
Is coming here to get me

Now I can see you
Oh no, please no
Now I can touch you
Oh god, please go
I am right here now
Oh please tell me where
Ha ha ha ha
I'm in a nightmare
You better run
I'm back to haunt you down

Halloween, in the death of the night, hear me scream
I'm coming, I'm coming
Halloween, is the fear that I fight, in my dream
Keep running, keep running

Just keep running - oh keep on running, yeah
Just keep running
Just keep running - oh keep on running, yeah
Just keep running

It's squeaking and creaking
I move silent in the night, hahahahaha
Could be the boy from next-door
You'll never guess my disguise
Hahahahaha!

Kids and children fight
Pumpkin and candlelight
You might be the fearsome one at Junior High
Tonight!

Halloween, in the death of the night, hear me scream
I'm coming, I'm coming
Halloween, is the fear that I fight, in my dream
Keep running, keep running
Halloween...

Just keep running - oh, keep on running, yeah
Just keep running
Just keep running - oh, keep on running, yeah
Just keep running

Ahhhhhhh!!!!!!!

I posted this song merely because it was the week before Halloween. That and I like Aqua. Like I really need more of a reason to post it!! :)

October
by Evanescence

I can't run anymore,
I fall before you,
Here I am,
I have nothing left,
Though I've tried to forget,
You're all that I am,
Take me home,
I'm through fighting it,
Broken,
Lifeless,
I give up,
You're my only strength,
Without you,
I can't go on,
Anymore,
Ever again.

My only hope,
(All the times I've tried)
My only peace,
(To walk away from you)
My only joy,
My only strength,
(I fall into your abounding grace)
My only power,
My only life,
(And love is where I am)
My only love.

I can't run anymore,
I give myself to you,
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry,
In all my bitterness,
I ignored,
All that's real and true,
All I need is you,
When night falls on me,
I'll not close my eyes,
I'm too alive,
And you're too strong,
I can't lie anymore,
I fall down before you,
I'm sorry,
I'm sorry.

My only hope,
(All the times I've tried)
My only peace,
(To walk away from you)
My only joy,
My only strength,
(I fall into your abounding grace)
My only power,
My only life,
(And love is where I am)
My only love.

Constantly ignoring,
The pain consuming me,
But this time it's cut too deep,
I'll never stray again.

My only hope,
(All the times I've tried)
My only peace,
(To walk away from you)
My only joy,
My only strength,
(I fall into your abounding grace)
My only power,
My only life,
(And love is where I am)
My only love,
My only hope,
(All the times I've tried)
My only peace,
(To walk away from you)
My only joy,
My only strength,
(I fall into your abounding grace)
My only power,
My only life,
(And love is where I am)
My only love.

Why did I pick this song? Two reasons: 1. I love Evanescence. 2. I love October. I really do like this song. Yeah it's sad and begging for acceptance but I like how it reminds me about things. That it's never simple and very rarely ever easy. Nothing is ever black and white. Everything is a shade of Grey. Even the darkest black has some sort of white in it at some point. There is never just Black or White. And somehow this song reminds me of that.

You Can Do It
by No Doubt

Since you've been gone
Since you've been unglued
It's hard to figure out
Your next move
One minute here
The next you're gone
Let's make an end
To this sad, sad song
For you it's hard to take
'Cause the pill has an awful taste
Just open up and swallow down
Once it hits bottom
Things may turn around
Unfortunately this is the case
You've got to catch up
And win the race

Straighten yourself out...
You can do it
One minute here
The next you're gone
Let's make an end
To this sad, sad song

They can't understand
That you mean to do good
I guess you could say
You're misunderstood
I know you're meaning well
But you've been shot to hell
Just come back and join us now
'Cause I know that you know how
Unfortunately this is the case

You've got to catch up
And win the race
Straighten yourself out...
You can do it I know it seems
They're messing with your mind
But you don't have to go
Foward blind
So let the bygoned be bygone
And let's make and end
To this sad, sad song

Unfortunately this is the case
You've got to catch up
And win the race
Straighten yourself out...
You can do it

No Doubt, as I have said before, is one of my favorite bands. I figured after two weeks of songs dedicated to my Grandmother, I would just put something up that I like. The song is about struggle and having to face your fears and your trials head on. There's no other way around it.

Beautiful Isle of Somewhere
by Jessie B. Pounds (This recording done by Praise Hymn Soundtracks)

Somewhere the sun is shining,
Somewhere the songbirds dwell;
Hush, then, thy sad repining,
God lives, and all is well.

Somewhere, somewhere,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!
Land of the true, where we live anew,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!

Somewhere the day is longer,
Somewhere the task is done;
Somewhere the heart is stronger,
Somewhere the guerdon won.

Somewhere, somewhere,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!
Land of the true, where we live anew,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!

Somewhere the load is lifted,
Close by an open door;
Somewhere the clouds are rifted,
Somewhere the angels sing.

Somewhere, somewhere,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!
Land of the true, where we live anew,
Beautiful Isle of Somewhere!

The Beautiful Isle of Somewhere is a family song. The Irish part of my dad's family (My grandmother's side) request this song every time there is a death on their side. My great-grandmother and my grandmother both chose it and my aunt and father both want it at their funerals (my uncle being the only one that refuses to have it... eh, he's more of the English snooty than the rest of them). This is the only song that I will link the song to the lyrics. Mainly because this song is not well known and the writer of the song has long since passed (was written in 1897) and I think it's important to know the feeling of this song. The version I have linked to sounds much more contemporary (we sang it and we had it sung via CD by an Irish tenor with the traditional arrangement.) but I can't get the more traditional version for people to hear.

Amazing Grace
by Ani Difranco

amazing grace
how sweet the sound
that saved a wretch like me
i once was lost
but now i'm found
was blind but now i see

'twas grace that taught
my heart to fear
and grace that fear relieved
how precious did
that grace appear
the hour i first believed

through many dangers
toils and snares
i have already come
'twas grace that brought me
safely thus far
and grace will lead me home

and when this heart
and flesh shall fail
and mortal life shall cease
i shall possess
within the vail
a life of joy and peace

My Grandmother died on Sunday September 25th. The this week and next week's songs will be dedicated to her memory. This song is the one I was singing all weekend before she passed on. I had a feeling that this song was trying to tell me something deep down inside me. Sometimes I wish I wasn't right.
