Launchcast on Yahoo: Hear the songs I've shown here!!

Trapped in your mind, the swirling thoughts of dreams and woes surround your every aspiration and whim.
It consumes your attention, and plagues your thoughts, leaving you stranded... alone.
Only the subtle glow from the radio and it's lucid tones, hold you on the edge of reality.
It is here we laugh and cry, relate and hate all at the drop of a solitary note.
Someone seems to relate to us and hears our pleas.

Save us all...
We are trapped with music in our minds.

Do the Hippogriff
by The Weird Sisters

(loud yell scream)
Alright Hogwarts... are you ready for some real music?
I said, ARE YOU READY?
ARE YOU READY?
I can't hear ya!
Alright!
Come on, I wanna see your hands in the air.
We're going to teach you a brand new dance tonight.
So move your body
You gotta help us Hogwarts
Together we can do this thing
Are you ready?
ARE YOU READY?

Move your body like a hairy troll
a learning to rock and roll
I spin around like a crazy elf
a dancing by himself
I boogie down like a unicorn
I brew a storm til the break of dawn
a put your hands up in the air
Like an ogre just don't care

Can you dance the hippogriff
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Flying off from the cliff
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Swooping down to the ground
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Wheel around and around and around
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
OH!

Move around like a scary ghost
Who's spooking himself the most
Shake your booty like bogart in pain
Again and again and again
Get it on like an angry specter
Whose definitely out to get ya
Stomp your feet like a leprechaun
Get it on, get it on

Can you dance the hippogriff
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Flying off from the cliff
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Swooping down to the ground
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Wheel around and around and around
Mama ma mama ma mama ma

Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Ooh Come on!
Yah gotta move it
like a goofy
Creature,
Creature of the night
Yeah that's right
Aah Creature of the night
Well, do ya feel alright?
Do ya feel alright?

Can you dance the hippogriff
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Flying off from the cliff
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Swooping down to the ground
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
Wheel around and around and around
Mama ma mama ma mama ma
OH!

Come on!
Ah come on!

Do the Hippogriff??? You must be crazy!... Yeah I am if you're talking about the newest Harry Potter movie out on the screen: Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire! This song (along with the next 2 songs I will be posting) are from the GOF movie. Normally the Harry Potter movies do not have REAL songs with lyrics but this one (mainly due to the Yule Ball scene) We are suprised with 3 songs put together by an unusual group. The band in the movie is called the Weird Sisters, but the real artists are Jarvis Cocker from the UK group Pulp and Phil Selway and Jonny Greenwood of Radiohead. This is the first song that you hear after the start of the ball... they cut from the formality of the first dance to this headbanging dance number. Because there is no actual group, I will post a link to each song so you can hear it through AOL's player. Anyone viewing should be able to listen to it just fine.

Confessions of a Broken Heart
by Lindsay Lohan

I wait for the postman
To bring me a letter
And I wait for the good Lord
To make me feel better
And I carry the weight of the world on my shoulders
Family in crisis that only grows older
Why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?

Daughter to father
Daughter to father
I am broken, but I am hoping
Daughter to father
Daughter to father
I am crying, a part of me's dying
and these are
These are the confessions
Of a broken heart

And I wear all your old clothes
Your polo sweater
I dream of another you
One who would never, never
Leave me alone
To pick up the pieces
Daddy to hold me
That's what I needed
So why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?
Why'd you have to go?

Daughter to father
Daughter to father
I don't know you, but I still want to
Daughter to father
Daughter to father
Tell me the truth
Did you ever love me?
'Cuz these are, these are,
the confessions
Of a broken heart
Of a broken heart

I love you
I love you
I love you
I, I love you...

Daughter to father
Daughter to father
I don't know you, but I still want to
Daughter to father
Daughter to father
Tell me the truth
Did you ever love me?
Did you ever love me?
These are
The confessions
Of a broken heart

Oh yeah
And I wait for the postman
To bring me a letter...

I was flipping channels one night after work and I spotted a new video I hadn't seen yet. I listened to the song (came in after the title was listed, so I didn't know who's song it was) and I just couldn't not figure out who this artist was, banging around in a storefront window dressed as a bathroom. The girl wore this amazing red and yellow dress (sometimes was blue and yellow) and was screaming the lyrics of this song I posted above. I was shocked at the end to see it was Lindsay Lohan. It didn't look like her and the song felt like raw emotion. I felt I had to post it for last week's song.

Who Did You Think I Was?
by John Mayer

Got half a smile and zero shame
I got a reflection with a different name
Got a brand new blues that I can't explain
Who did you think I was?

Every morning when the day begins
I make up my mind to change it back again
I am a shifter of the shape I'm in
Who did you think I was?

You got my number but I always knew the score
Who did you think I was?

Am I the one who plays the quiet songs?
Is he the one who turns the ladies on?
Will I keep shining til my light is gone?
Who did you think I was?

You got my number but I always knew the score
Who did you think I was?

Here is a line you won't understand
I'm half of the boy but I'm twice the man
I carry the weight of the world in the palm of my hand
Who did you think I was?
Who did you think I was?

Yeah yeah... John Mayer... AGAIN. Get over it. I like him okay?!? Look, it's his newest single and I liked how the song makes you sit and think about how you perceive the people around you. And there is one part of the song that really makes me think about some people I know and reevaluate my view of them:
Here is a line you won't understand
I'm half of the boy but I'm twice the man
I carry the weight of the world in the palm of my hand
Who did you think I was?

Sometimes you forget that there's more to a friend than just what you see on a regular basis. This was the wrong week to be in a philosophical mood.

Bela Lugosi's Dead
by Bauhaus

white on white translucent black capes
back on the back
bela lugosi's dead
the bats have left the bell tower
the victims have been bled
red velvet lines the black box
bela lugosi's dead
undead undead undead
the virginal brides file past his tomb
strewn with time's dead flowers
bereft in deathly bloom
alone in a darkened room
the count

bela lugosi's dead
undead undead undead

oh bela
bela's undead

This was my song to end out the Halloween season. I like some of Bauhaus's songs and this one fit well with the whole Halloween season. The group has been around for as long as I have been old. They practically created the whole Goth genre although they were created by the punk rock that started to live in the underground of the late 70's. Wow...27 years...awesome job guys.
